Building and Grounds Maintenance

Cascade Home – 131 West King Tut Rd, Lynden.
Cascade Home is located on approximately 5 acres of land. Because of the size of our grounds it has been very costly in terms of time and finances to keep up with the maintenance of the buildings or grounds. Therefore we always welcome any volunteers that have the time and skills in this area. We are looking for people who can sign, paint some of the rooms, install ceiling fans, read to the residents and bake with them, do a knitting project and someone who can sew/mend. Cascade Supported Living - Lynden

Cascade Christian Services Main Office – 1611 North State St., Bellingham

Looking for someone to help clean the carpets in our building. We have our own carpet cleaning machine and could teach someone how to operate it. It really needs to be done quarterly!!! Now you can see that there are many opportunities for volunteers in the
different areas of our organization. Those opportunities can range from
the day to day interaction of supporting our participants in their various
needs.

Cascade Vocational Services:

  • Provide assistance for individuals with disabilities who are working
    or volunteering in the community.
  • Participate in individual planning to offer support in networking.
  • Review resumes or perform practice interviews for job seekers.
  • Fundraising.
  • Public relations/publicity/marketing.
  • Handyman.

 

    The future will bring Creativity Sessions for people of all abilities utilizing different media.
    So we will need planners, teachers, and those interested in helping some individuals with
    disabilities.

    As you can see our organization revolves around improving the quality of life for the disabled
    people we serve. If you are interested in working with us please take a moment to fill out and
    submit the VOLUNTEER PROFILE. We will contact you to set up a time for you to visit the
    facility, fill out more forms, and discuss how you see yourself helping us.

    We are currently working with different learning institutions throughout the Bellingham area to set up
    internships, work-study and service learning opportunities for students to get a look at the real world
    of supporting the people our organization serves. If you would like to participate in any of these
